Been thinking to update/renovate the form of content I've been posting here. I don't like wasting people's time so I'll transform my cosplay and life escapades to things with what I learn from them. Things I get from the random adventures I have in cosplay and in life in general. What do you mean? Like a life lesson or practical tutorials like what I've done so far, bits of light tutorial, costume making, photography and posing to be specific. Lesson 01: PATIENCE GRASSHOPPERNot a lot of edits on this, more of a practice for team "RedCurry" on simply using our wits and a beautiful venue. It took a while to plan and have the right amount of funds. But look! It's worth it, I'll tell you right off I regret nothing. The venue was the right choice and everything just fell according to place. At times, it's really better to wait then to rush and force things (Which I usually do)
This day was very testing really, from crazy traffic jams from my place and crazy full parking places so early in the morning all we were able to do was wait. And it did bear fruit. Though honestly, I did not get the shot I wanted. Patience: To the people outside this hobby: Why waste so much time/money on such silly things? Well, as you might invest on an iphone or partying these are what takes up our time. It's not that our lives are boring, quite the opposite most of us are creative individuals who require an outlet. If you have family who enjoy this kind of past time, have a little bit of patience with them. We aren't inconsiderate if you have a point we would listen. As long as you do the same for us. A 'waste' of time is only defined but what kind of return you expect. :) We expect nothing but beautiful photos and memories to look back on. Tea time, biscuits and a good read or even just sticking hidden blades or cuddling a certain diva in a PS Vita is my idea of a good time. I'm a simple girl like that. I don't really drink and I have never drunk anything acloholic in my life. Not a huge fan of the smell. So here! Let me introduce simple pleasures that you yourself might like. Copanhagen biscuits, and a Twinings tea box ideal for gifting. (The Twinings box costs around 1,300 php and contains around 24 tea bags while the 150g Copanhagen canister costs around 295php and the larger one at 300g costs 495php or so, of course pricing depends on the shop/grocery but that's typically the range. ) COPANHAGEN Danish Cookies: There are typically just 4 types of cookies, 4 pieces per layer. There's around 2 layers of all four types in a canister like this one. (It's as you can see, a 150g one) This is perfect with White Tea, or even just simple chamomile. : ) Due to the lack of fragrance in the taste. Unlike lavender tea and whatnot, that adds a little unwanted flavor if you're eating butter cookies with sugar. But that's just me though. :) I hope you enjoy the read! Even though it's not quite cosplay related.
Anything 'good', as generally people around me define my way of life as "clean and simple". Why complicate it? I know I could save more money by NOT cosplaying. But that wouldn't be what I want to do. In due time, I would definitely stop, but as my age would permit I still dress up and make clothes based on fantasy and fiction. Happiness, I suppose is not a one definition thing. It varies from person to person Causing yourself stress by following orders, or following the status quo might not be your cup of tea. But! It might be for another. So in all? As a human being, I think it's always best not to push your own beliefs into other people.
I keep my life as simple as can be, more or less I dislike complexities and I always say what's on my mind without being rude. Although these are tips regarding hobbies, I think generally it's a good way to keep things as simple with most things in your life. I don't think it's impossible, we just have to get rid of the lies and negative feelings. (Easier said than done perhaps, but it's better to try than sulk about being miserable I say) We love things to different degrees, from our friends to types of food and to the things we spend time on. It kind of sucks that there aren't a lot of people who are open minded enough to STOP ARGUING about how to look at things. If someone doesn't agree with you, just RESPECT them and move along.
So honestly, I hope that in a hobby as creative as cosplay we have a lot of more people who are much more accepting. Having a debate on who's right ONLINE will not help you earn money or finish your homework. Technology has changed vastly, but you still have only 24 hours in a day. So SPEND IT WISELY. Although my life ain't perfect, I seriously hold on to the faith of being good will lead to good things. I believe in bits of good luck and ultimately just the fact that inside each of us, there are honest individuals who would choose what's best for everyone if need be. (though of course I am not ignorant enough to deny evil as well) But that aside, some good things happened to me. And although I've already given 'some things' back by donating books, and a bit of my time I also wanted to give a little to the community I love. So if you're a resident of the Philippines, and you know the anime the past seasons? Get your game on, and guess the series, and full character name of the characters I have and will cosplay. Goodluck ! And I wish you an awesome life! Because everybody deserves that.
Cute Emi Yusa in her "angel" or "hero" form
Emi Yusa, or quite literally the "Hero" in the anime "Hataraku Maō-sama" or translated in english "The Devil is a Part-Timer" Series Summary: I think it's best shortened into, dimensional travel wherein people from a medieval period with a mix of magic and demons get transported into "Our world" or the year 2012 and have to live as 'normal human beings'. When I say normal, the very base definition as in working, finding rent making documents and daily budgeting is taken into consideration in this anime. Which is fairly interesting. The series already ended though, and I've never read the manga. My cosplay progress:
You might not even know her (give the manga or the series a try! It's worth it) , but she's a really interesting character with a certain 'depth' to her. Though when I say 'depth' I don't mean the complexity of a human being of course, that's hard to achieve but she has grudges, and inadequacies that are just adorable. She's pretty clumsy to boot!
Hatsune Miku is and always will be my favorite Vocaloid (A voice synthesizer with a personality). Read more about Miku and Voice synthesizers here. Reality Hits: As I scamper around and pretend I'm waiting for Kaito, as Hatsune Miku... the whole facade lets up and I wake up to reality. After wearing costumes and whatnot, what awaits us is real life. A day job, and real world problems like what to cook for dinner and financial matters.
On a more personal note: I'm still struggling to get some stability in my life. I still don't really know what I should be doing. But I'm covering a lot of ground by studying a LOT of things. There's coding, some softwares and more coding! I hope I get to where I want in life soon.
As I've said before? I don't really expect to be featured. There are thousands upon thousands who are way better than me in this hobby. So It's always a surprise to see things like these for being overly passionate about this hobby.
I was waiting for it's release since the 4th week of 進撃の巨人/Shingeki no Kyojin. My favorites are the one's in bold and in a different font color.
I was just waiting for those songs to come out since I heard them from the series itself. Though honestly, some of those I have yet to hear. I'm hoping that none of those songs are going to be Rivaille's theme. As that would really ensure that he DOES have a death flag on him. |
